Smartly attired Hospitality & Tourism Business (HTB) students - Resumes flying - Packed Presentations - Frenzied filling of application forms – Exciting (yet sometimes nervous!) interview sessions – Staff mingling with Industry Partners over coffee & cookies at our very own Restaurant in the Square…
Yes, it was all happening at TAS, or The Tourism Academy @ Sentosa’s 2nd Career cum Internship Fair!
The HTB Careers Committee and the HTB Student Internship Programme (SIP) Committee came together to plan the event and provide the unique opportunity for HTB graduates, about-to-be-graduates and upcoming interns to connect with industry partners with the possibility of securing suitable positions. The idea was to make students and companies more accessible for each other by putting them together under one roof simultaneously.
The Hotel sector representation saw names like Rasa Sentosa Shangri-La, The Sentosa Resort and Spa, and Swissotel Merchant Court; Travel Agencies & Destination Management companies like East West Executive Planners, Asia- Euro Holidays and the F&B sector was represented, amongst others, by Fish & Co and Creative Eateries.
All in all, it was a very rewarding session and many connections were made.
Just another programme to enrich the lives of our students both for now and for their future.
