Application & General Information for the Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Business Programme

What is my application status?

Do note that each application require 1 to 2 months for processing, i.e. after the test and interview. Do not be alarmed should your application not be found on the listing, please check for further updates one week later. Thereafter, should your application still be unlisted please email us at tourismacademy@tp.edu.sg with your passport or identity card number and your date of birth.

How to Apply?

To apply for the Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Business programme please submit the completed Application Form together with the supporting documents listed below. Please submit your Application Form to the following address by registered mail or in person.

What are the supporting documents required?

Please attach photocopies of the following supporting documents listed below.

• A copy of your Passport or Identity Card.
• A copy of a Notarized/Certified True Copy of your educational certificates including detailed results/transcripts (in English).
• A recent full-person photograph.

Include any of the following if available:

• Evidence of your work history (e.g. testimonials).
• Evidence of your non-academic activities.
• Evidence of your achievements.
• Evidence of your English proficiency Test results.

Important information to note

• There is no application fee to enroll in this programme.
• Do not send your original documents.
• An inaccurately completed form or an incomplete form will render your entire application invalid.
• Applications without supporting documents or applications received outside the application period will not be processed.
• Please submit only one application. Duplicate applications will render your application void.
• All applications must be submitted in hardcopy. We do not accept applications sent through fax or in soft copy e.g. sent via email attachments.

Is there a Test and Interview Session?

Short listed applicants may be requested to sit for a written test followed by an interview. Please note that The Tourism Academy @ Sentosa / Temasek Polytechnic reserve the right to decide whether or not to conduct a written test and interview. It is reiterated that if the test and interview are conducted, it would be for short listed applicants only. Short listed applicants who need to take the written test and interview will be informed via email or telephone. The written test and interview will be conducted in English and is designed to test the listening, speaking and comprehension skills of the applicant. The duration of the test and interview is one hour. No dictionary or electronic dictionary devices are allowed during the test and interview and applicants are required to bring along their own stationery. Candidates are reminded to be on time for the written test and interview.

• If you are taking the Sentosa shuttle bus from the Harbourfront Bus Interchange, please alight at the bus-stop called ‘Ranger Station’ after the Sentosa admission gantry.
• If you are taking the Sentosa Express, please alight at the ‘Imbiah Station’.
