In the Tourism Academy, there is a comprehensive student support programme to take care of the students’ welfare and to help the international students achieve a smooth transition to living in Singapore. Students are encouraged to participate in cocurricular activities, and other social and cultural programmes to achieve a balanced lifestyle.

The Tourism Academy has a programme in which staff members (lecturers) are assigned as Care Persons or affectionately known as CPs to students. They are the students' friend, coach and mentor who provide emotional and academic support to the students in times of need, and as growth facilitators in the students’ lives. All CPs are trained in basic counselling.
