Visit of Chef in Black

Chef Emmanuel Stroobant of Saint Pierre Restaurant in Central Mall, better known as the Chef in Black from the TV show of the same name, made a special appearance at The Tourism Academy Sentosa. His appearance created an immediate and promptly proceeded to wow both staff and students not just with his dashing punk rocker good looks but also with his fantastic culinary skills and specialized knowledge in molecular gastronomy, which kept his audience glued to his every move as he spent an afternoon sharing his experience and recipes.

Through one of Temasek Polytechnic’s industry partners (The Traveller DMC Pte Ltd), The Tourism Academy @ Sentosa was introduced to Peace Boat when its ship The Topaz sailed into the HarbourFront as part of the Japanese NGO’s 55 th global voyage to promote and build a culture of peace and friendship around the world. The Peace Boat carries out its main activities through a chartered passenger ship that travels the world on peace voyages.
